Acro Jazz is an upbeat class that incorporates gymnastics and minimal stunting into a basic jazz routine. Students will learn several basic jazz steps as well as strengthen gymnastic skills. It is not necessary to have prior gymnastics or jazz experience as we will highlight each girls' abilities in the routine.

This class is 50 minutes long.

VELOS CREW 

This class holds tryouts and is by invitation only.

A group of talented dancers from various genres, coming together to minister through dance.

This class is comprised of talented dancers of several genres whose mission is to come together to minister to the lost. This class will perform in the Christmas show and the Easter show with all the other dance classes, as well as several other ministry opportunities. This class is by tryout because it is intended to be an outreach to our community.

Target Level: 6th - 12th Grade

TEACHER: DAWNIELLE ROTHELL  

Dawnielle is our Dance Manager as well as instructor for Jr. Acro Jazz & Crew.  She and her husband have three daughters and reside in Hickory Tavern with their 36 farm animals. She is also the founder of the Velos Dance ministry, birthed from a burden to see dancers honor God in their dancing. She desires to see excellence in dance just as one would do everything as unto the Lord. The love of dance began when she was young and she was able to be in several dance performances as well as drill team and gymnastics. Dawnielle has a degree in Child Development with a teaching credential and taught for seven years before homeschooling. Her and her husband have been involved in children/student ministries as well as fostering for several years. She is excited to inspire this next generation to be bold Christians and honor God in their dancing.
