Course Overview
Dive into the exciting world of hands-on building and craftsmanship! This project-based course will teach students essential building and fabrication skills while working on a unique and practical project: constructing and finishing a coffee trailer. Designed for students in grades 9–12, this program combines practical learning with real-world application. This is a 12 week course and will run into the mid month of May.
Current Course Project - Velos Coffee Trailer
Students will collaborate on the design and construction of a fully functional coffee trailer, combining creativity with technical skills. This project provides an opportunity to apply learned skills to a tangible product, from planning to final touches.
Teacher: Corey Medlock
Corey has been passionate about building and construction since his high school days. With over a decade of experience owning his tile and remodeling business (established in 2012), Corey brings a wealth of knowledge in woodworking, building, plumbing, electrical, welding, and fabrication. His love for woodworking began in his grandfather’s shop, and he is excited to inspire the next generation of builders to explore and master the trade.
