REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE 2024 - 2025 SESSIONS!
Course Outline:
This course can be taken as a first time Health & Nutrition class or can be taken as a continuation from the fall session of Health & Nutrition.
This course is designed to give high school students an understanding of how the mind, body, and spirit work together for optimal health. Significant components of health and nutrition as well as key body systems will be covered. Stress responses, fitness, emotional well being, and natural remedies will also be discussed.
Students will be able to walk away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the incredible human body and will be empowered with life skills that will be beneficial for years to come.
Prerequisites: Students are encouraged to be attentive and participate in class discussion. A three ring binder with notebook paper and a pen will be needed for class. Projects will include the need for outside materials (usually found at home) but all other materials will be provided. Students are asked to have fun while learning, encourage their classmates, and complete light homework.
Target Level: 8th - 12th Grades

Kayce is living her dream of being a wife and homeschooling mom to four amazing humans. She is passionate about helping others and has spent the past 25 plus years encouraging and empowering God's children to care for their mind and body. She studied Health Fitness and Psychology at UNCC and serves others through health coaching, teaching wellness and fitness classes, and through dance. Jesus, sunshine, people, and music make her heart jump for joy!
Kayce has a BS in Health Fitness/BA in Psychology/Health Coach Certification/Personal Training and Group Fitness Certification.
