SEWING - BEGINNER
Sewing is a skill that can serve you for a lifetime! Sewing teaches patience, precision, how to follow directions, and results in creative projects to enjoy or gift to others! Sessions are available with age-appropriate projects for younger students and teens.
This eight-week beginner class will introduce students to the sewing machine, teaching them confidence in using a machine and how to troubleshoot common sewing issues. Students will learn basic hand and machine sewing skills. In class, we will discuss different types of fabrics and the notions used in sewing. Each week, students will sew a fun and useful project to take home!
This beginner-level class is perfect for those who have never sewn before or who have some experience and want to gain more confidence.
This course is intended to be a live class full of engaging hands-on and interactive opportunities.
Basic sewing supplies and all project materials will be provided by the instructor. Students are encouraged to bring their own machines and sewing scissors if they have one. Several sewing machines will be available that students can share.
