MEET THE INSTRUCTOR: CARMEN VERMILLION
As a homeschooling mom of three and an advocate for hands-on learning, I love making science fun, engaging, and messy! Our family runs a slime-focused YouTube channel, where we experiment with different recipes, explore the science behind slime, and test new creative ideas together.
My background in early childhood education and years of homeschooling have given me experience in STEM-based learning, sensory play, and hands-on teaching. I believe that kids learn best when they can touch, create, and experiment, which is exactly what we do in Slime Lab!
In this 8-week course, students will mix, stretch, and explore the properties of polymers, viscosity, and chemical reactions—all while making a new slime to take home each week. I can’t wait to share my love for science and creativity with your kids.
Slime Lab: A hands-on STEM adventure where kids explore science by creating a new slime to take home each week!
Get ready to mix, stretch, and experiment in this exciting Slime Lab! Each week, students will explore STEM concepts while creating a unique slime recipe. From fluffy to magnetic, glow-in-the-dark to butter slime, we’ll dive into chemistry, color theory, polymers, and viscosity—all through hands-on learning. Students will mix their own slime, observe different textures, and take home their gooey masterpiece!
