Are you excited to learn how to speak with your hands!? Are you interested in learning more about the Deaf Community and their culture? Want to learn more about this beautiful visual language and its history? Then, come sign with us!
This course is an introductory course in the basics of American Sign Language, its history, and culture. Themed topics are covered weekly using visual-gestural communication techniques. Topics include how to introduce themselves, basic conversation, common words and phrases, animals, food, school signs, sports and hobbies, weather, time words, calendar words, verbs, adjectives and much more!
This is a continuation of ASL I. Covers additional vocabulary, sentences, and grammar structures. The main focus is on conversational and receptive skills as well as a better understanding of Deaf culture.
