BAND

Our purpose will be to assist and support families in the musical education of the home educated children of the Upstate.

This program is for any incoming 5th -12th grade homeschooler who would love to learn or already knows how to play an instrument and wants to have fun!  We will work to build a strong foundation, a solid musical education by teaching students proper technique, music theory, and performance practices. 

Note: We are open to 3rd - 4th grade students if they are able to sit through the classroom time and listen to instruction.

We offer beginning band, and advanced band. 

KEVIN STYLES - 

Kevin is a native of Travelers Rest, SC. Mr. Styles taught in Greenville County for 37 years at J.L. Mann High School, Beck Middle School, Lakeview Middle School, Northwood Middle School, and Riverside Middle School. He previously taught in Cherokee County  at several schools in Gaffney, SC. His bands earned numerous Superior ratings at SCBDA Concert Performance Assessment as well as other regional festivals. The Riverside Middle School Band was the recipient of the Outstanding Performance Award ten times.  Mr.  Styles earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University and the Master of Music degree from Converse College. He has served as Conductor of the Aspire Music Camp in Greenville for six summers. Mr. Styles was selected as Teacher of the Year for Lakeview  Middle in 1998. He was also selected as Teacher of the Year and received the WYFF Golden Apple Award at Riverside Middle in 2014.

Tuition:

Band: $325.00  

Combined Band & Choir   425.00  Discount only available if student signs up for both semesters.  Once registered for these two classes the discount will be applied by administration.

 **Annual Registration Fee: $75 per student or $125 for family.**
